Felice Diane Sullivan, age 91, of Helena

April 6, 1934 – March 23, 2026

Felice Belangie Sullivan, age 91, of Helena died early Monday morning March 23, 2026, from complication of a stroke.
Felice was born in Walkerville, Montana April 6, 1934, to Felix and Elsie (Johns) Belangie.

She received her education at Sherman School in Walkerville and graduated from Butte High. Following graduation Felice enter the US Marine Corp in June of 1952 and was honorably discharged from the Marine Corps PFC September 29, 1953.

Felice and James B. Sullivan “Sarge” were married September 18, 1953, in Elizabeth City, North Carolina. Following their service in the Marine Corps, they made their home in Butte. Felice’s working career was primarily in clerical and sales through Montgomery Wards, Boy Scouts of America, Hub and Walmart. Felice enjoyed reading, genealogy, and when Sarge was alive, they enjoyed fishing, camping, traveling in their RV and decorating her house for all holidays.

Felice was a member of the Eastern Star in Butte and in Helena and also the CB Radio Club in Butte.

Felice was preceded in death by her husband James B. Sullivan December 16, 2005. He is buried at the Montana State Veterans Cemetery at Ft. Harrison, Montana.
She is survived by her daughters, Debbie Sullivan Strawn of Texas and Sheri Sullivan Renney and her husband Larry Renney of Helena. Felice is also survived by her grandchildren, Michael Renney of Helena; Nicole Strawn Swetman and James Strawn of Texas and Sheri and Larry’s dog “Otis” AKA “Shadow”; great grandchildren, Cody & Lynsey Renney of Helena, Jayden & Skylar Strawn of Texas; Addi & Levi Swetman of Texas. Other survivors include nephew, Russ Dunn; special friends, Charlie and Karen Marinos, Linda Palagie of Butte, Susan Carpenter of Wyoming, Joy Gummer of Kansas, Angie Tibbs of Missoula and Kenneth Sullivan of Oklahoma.

In addition to her husband, Felice was preceded in death by her parents and sister Drea Dunn and nephews, James and Patrick Dunn.

A private burial service with military honors will be held at the Montana State Veteran Cemetery at Ft. Harrison, Montana with her husband James.
