Linda Lee, 72, of Helena, Montana, passed away peacefully in the early hours of January 11, 2026, at St. Peter’s Health, surrounded by her loving family.
Born on March 27, 1953, in Deer Lodge, Montana, Linda was the daughter of the late Bob and Madeline Hickman. She grew up in Deer Lodge alongside her brother, Richard Hickman.
On August 6, 1976, Linda married Brian Lee; the couple celebrated their union with a memorable trucking adventure honeymoon to Las Vegas.
Linda dedicated much of her professional life to the hospitality and service industry, where she truly “did it all.” Whether she was serving as a bartender, server, or cook, her hard work and dedication were evident to all who knew her. She concluded her career as the dietary manager at the Masonic Home in Helena.
A committed member of the community, Linda was a 25-year member of the Helena Moose Lodge Chapter 906. Over the years, she held nearly every officer position and was instrumental in mentoring others as they stepped into leadership roles.
Linda had a passion for life and the great outdoors. She loved bowling, camping, boating, and snowmobiling. Some of her favorite memories were made during weekend Jeep rides in the mountains and other outdoor adventures. A social butterfly, Linda was famous for hosting “Block Parties” with the Garrison Street Gang and lively hot tub gatherings on Benton Avenue.
An avid animal lover, Linda cared for many pets throughout her life and was known for her daily ritual of feeding the local squirrels, rabbits, and birds, who will surely miss her presence.
Linda is survived by her devoted husband of 50 years, Brian Lee; her daughter, Dawn Lee; her son, Terry Cowan; and her nephew, Joe Hickman. She also leaves behind three beloved grandchildren, Angelique, Brian, and Jaden of Helena, as well as two great-grandchildren whom she adored and loved to spoil.
In accordance with Linda’s wishes, cremation has taken place. At this time, no formal services are planned.
