For over twenty years, I thought my brother Steve was dead. Unknown to me, he was living in Helena, MT; Steve was also a daily walking disciple of our Savior and Lord Jesus! Before we had the opportunity to reconnect, he was killed crossing an intersection early Monday morning. For me, there are tears of sadness, for we were unable to reconnect in this life. Yet, there are tears of joy, for our Lord Jesus Himself made possible for us to reconnect in the eternal life He would give every one! It is to my brother Steve’s walk with the Lord that I dedicate this Midweek Meditation, who called him, and each of us, out of darkness into His marvelous light. Thanks be to God! Amen!
————————— ——————————————————————————–
Do You Have a Hard Time WALKING?
READ, WRITE, and PRAY…..Matthew 11:28-30
Jesus said, “For My yoke is easy, and My burden is light.”

•Our Lord Jesus IS our burden bearer! He chose to take upon Himself our cross. The weight of all our sins He could bear upon His shoulders. He does not stop at the point of winning salvation for us.

•NO, in our daily walk as His disciples, He wants us to KNOW, experience, TRUST and surrender to Him ALL the bricks we would carry around in our lives.

He invites us to come to Him alone, not trying to lighten our load ourselves OR seek help from others. Coming to Jesus ALONE, we find Him ready to take every brick, every weighty burden of this life, out of our hands!

•Jesus asks us to take HIS direction. He would freely give us HIS yoke! He asks us to be bound with Him and let Him lead us in the way we should walk! He KNOWS how to steer us and gladly takes the lead on our behalf!

This is what our Lord Jesus promises. HIS yoke is easy, compared to the steering we would hope to accomplish in our walk! HIS burden is light in comparison to what we would carry on our own!

•WHAT burdensome bricks do you still needlessly carry that Jesus would gladly carry?
•WHAT direction are you walking crookedly contrary to His straight pathway for you?
•HOW has Jesus shown you He is able and capable of carrying your sins on His cross for your forgiveness and salvation?
•HOW is Jesus capable of guiding your daily walk, too?

WRITE out these words from Matthew 11:28-30 and carry them with you throughout today and the remainder of the week. PRAY the Scripture, asking God’s Own Holy Spirit to help you confess the unnecessary burdens you are carrying on your own shoulders. ASK the Holy Spirit to grant you the faith and confidence to WALK in every way, every day under the yoke of your Savior and Lord Jesus!
——————————————————————————-
Holy Spirit, You speak to us through the Word of God. Thank You for the promises You make and keep for each of us in Your Holy Word. We can KNOW He who promises IS faithful! Cause us to surrender to our Lord and Savior EVERY burden HE would gladly carry for us…even as He carried our sins to the Cross! In Jesus’ Name, we ask this, Amen!

["GET
