Johnson of Avon\/Helena, MT passed away October 8, 2011 after a long courageous fight with cancer. <\/p>\n<p>Charlotte was born August 27, 1939 in Inverness, Florida to John C. and Beulah S. Brown. She graduated from Vero Beach High School, Florida in 1957. <\/p>\n<p>She married Clayton R. Johnson on February 26, 1960 in Vero Beach. They had 2 children born in Corvallis, Oregon where Clayton was stationed at Adair Air Force Base for 4 \u00bd years. After a few moves, the family settled in Helena, MT on August 5th, 1974. <br \/>Upon Clay\u2019s retirement in 1995, Charlotte and Clay traveled every summer with their 5th wheel camper. She enjoyed meeting new people and especially enjoyed seeing so much of God\u2019s beautiful country. She loved identifying wild flowers and rock hunting everywhere they went. She also loved gardening and bowling. Charlotte loved her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren and cherished the time spent with them. <\/p>\n<p>Preceding her in death were her father John; baby sister MaryEllen; and her son Richard. <br \/>Survivors include her husband Clayton of Avon\/Helena; her mother Beulah Brown of Vero Beach, FL; brother Richard H. Brown also of Vero Beach; daughter MaryEllen Graveley and her husband Sandy; grandchildren Ross, Misty, Sloan and Laura; and great grandchildren Aaron, Tyler and Laci all of Avon. <\/p>\n<p>Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 12th at Anderson Stevenson Wilke Funeral Home with graveside service at Fort Harrison Veteran\u2019s Cemetery. A Reception will follow the graveside service (place will be announced).
