Katie <br \/>loved spending time with her friends &#8211; listening to music, watching movies <br \/>and talking. She loved her three cats (Froid, Boots and Bug) and spent many <br \/>hours entertaining them. She loved riding her scooter and especially helping <br \/>people. She and Jory Bonem were to marry this weekend. <\/p>\n<p>Katie was born to Harry and Sheri (Sherrodd) Howell in Gillette, Wyoming on <br \/>January 17, 1987. Born two months premature, Katie took her first plane ride <br \/>to Denver Children&#8217;s Hospital, instilling a passion for travel forever. She <br \/>moved to Helena at age 7, and graduated from Helena High School in 2005. She <br \/>attended college at New School of Architecture, then San Diego City College <br \/>before returning to Montana. She graduated from MSU with a BA in Psychology <br \/>in 2010. She worked at the Pattern House, Starbucks in San Diego and Helena <br \/>and City Brew in Bozeman while going to school. Most recently, she applied <br \/>her organizational skills working as an administrative assistant at Sage <br \/>Medical Clinic. She was studying medical coding and planning graduate <br \/>studies later on. <\/p>\n<p>Katie is survived by her parents, Harry and Sheri Howell; brothers, Cody, <br \/>Dillon, and Bridger; grandparents, Leo and Charlotte Sherrodd; aunts and <br \/>uncles, Lowell, Patrick, Mark and Kevin Sherrod, George Howell, Jackie and <br \/>Phyllis Howell and Fran Larson; and many cousins. Katie was preceded in death <br \/>by her sister, Kelly. <br \/>Visitation hours will begin at noon with the family receiving friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, September 8th at Anderson Stevenson Wilke Funeral Home. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Friday, September 9th at Our Redeemer\u2019s Lutheran Church, (Corner of Stuart and Henderson). Memorials in Katie\u2019s name are suggested to the Lewis &amp; Clark Humane Society P.O. Box 4455 Helena, Montana 59604 or to an organization of the donor\u2019s choice.
