He was born to George and Josephine Easton on February 6, 1930 in Beulah, ND. <\/p>\n<p>George attended St. Mary\u2019s High School in Bismarck, ND. He married June Maassen on August 7, 1948 in Bismarck. She preceded him in death on June 9, 1999. <\/p>\n<p>He primarily worked in sales for brick and tile companies. He retired from IXL Industries in Medicine Hat, Alberta. <\/p>\n<p>Golfing, playing cribbage, and spending time with friends and family were among his favorite activities. <\/p>\n<p>George is survived by his children, Tim (Bev) Easton, Cindy (Dick) Erickson, Lori (John) Laughlin, and Jack Easton; as well as 13 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by brother, Alex Easton of Clearwater, FL and sister, Mary Lauder of Coeur d\u2019Alene, ID. <\/p>\n<p>He was preceded in death by his wife, June (Maassen) Easton, parents, and brother, Gil Gilchrist of Bismarck, ND. <\/p>\n<p>Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Sunday, July 31st at Anderson Stevenson Wilke Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be 1:00 p.m. Monday August 1st at Sts. Cyril &amp; Methodius Catholic Church in East Helena. A reception will be held in the church immediately following the Mass. Placement of his cremated remains will be in the Columbarium Niche at Resurrection Cemetery. Memorials in George\u2019s name are suggested to any hospice organization of the donor\u2019s choice.
