Galvin, 67, passed away June 6, 2011 after a long illness.<\/p>\n<p> Tom was born August 27, 1943 at McAllen, TX to Thomas F. Galvin and Mary Elizabeth Covalt Galvin. The family moved to West New York, NY when he was a baby. They moved to New Jersey for a short time before they settled in Kingston, NY. He attended grade school in Kingston and high school in Saugerties, NY.<\/p>\n<p> Tom joined the Air Force in May of 1961. After basic training in San Antonio he was stationed three years in Abilene, TX. He was then transferred to Chatareau, France for fourteen months. He was discharged in June of 1965 when diagnosed with diabetes.<\/p>\n<p> He was married to Barbara Sinclair from 1965-1977. Children of the marriage are his sons; James A. Galvin and Craig R. Galvin.<\/p>\n<p> Tom worked two years at the State Health Dept. He then worked at several auto parts stores including Valley Motor Supply, Personal Pontiac and Parts Supply. He retired after twenty five years due to his diabetes.<\/p>\n<p> It was at Personal Pontiac that he met the love of his life and best friend, Louise A. DeBree. They married April 22, 1978 at Birdseye. In 1979 Tom adopted Ivy Nan Galvin. Ivy and Louise were the inspiration for Tom to keep going these last difficult years. Tom and Louise renewed their vows while on a cruise to Alaska.<\/p>\n<p> Tom attended Covenant United Methodist Church and was a member of Capital Carriages Antique Car Club. He enjoyed camping, antique cars and Scottie dogs. His pride and joy included his 41 Ford and 56 Ford. He enjoyed two cruises to Alaska and many trips to the Oregon coast.<\/p>\n<p> He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, James Galvin. He is survived by his wife, Louise A. Galvin; daughter, Ivy Nan Galvin (Taines Rameriz) and grandchildren, Alexis, Romeo, Andi, Amber and Santana Rameriz; son, James (Rhonda) Galvin and grandchildren, Matthew, Christopher, Walter, Michael, Brett; son, Craig (Tammy) Galvin and grandchildren, Shawn, Heather, Krysten; three great-grandchildren; sister, Suanne Stimmer and numerous nieces and nephews.<\/p>\n<p> Please join us for a memorial service celebrating Tom\u2019s life at 11:00 a.m. Monday, June 13th at Covenant United Methodist Church on Broadway Street (across from St. Peter\u2019s Hospital). A reception will be held in the fellowship hall of the church immediately following the service. Burial with military honors will be at 1:30 p.m. at the Montana State Veterans Cemetery at Ft.
