Wambaugh, 86, of Helena went to be with the Lord on the evening of May 31, 2011. Rita passed from complications of a stroke. <\/p>\n<p>Rita was born one of five children to Loyd and Anna (Woodworth) Dunagan in Albion, Nebraska September 8, 1924. <\/p>\n<p>She and Thomas Vernon Wambaugh were married November 10, 1946 in Nebraska. Their three children were born in Nebraska. They moved their family to Montana living in Glasgow and Fort Peck, then making Helena their permanent home in 1968. Rita worked and retired from the Department of Health, State of Montana. <\/p>\n<p>Rita was preceded in death by her husband Vernon in the spring of 2005. She is survived by her sons, Jim (Judy) Wambaugh of Billings, Jerry (Shirley) Wambaugh of Sparks, Nevada and daughter, Julie (Dan) Sykes of Helena. Rita is also survived by her seven grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. <\/p>\n<p>There will be no public ceremony or gathering, honoring her request. For those wishing to, memorials in Rita\u2019s name are suggested to the organization of the donor\u2019s choice.
