She loved family picnics and holiday get-togethers, especially when all of her children could be present. A visit to Penny’s home often meant listening to instrumental music, smelling home-baked cookies, working a jigsaw puzzle and hearing about her latest trip, often taken with one of her children. A great end to the day was sitting on the deck looking at her roses and watching the sunset.

Penny was blessed with many good friends including her high school greenies and college sorority sisters. She and Jack had many close friends raising families at the same time and bringing together whole families as friends. She had strong faith and was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic community and later St. Helena Cathedral parish.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 41 years, Jack B.
