Montana Ave.","city2":"Helena","state2":"Montana","zipcode2":"59602","event_title3":"Burial","event_date3":"12\/31\/2012","start_time3":"1:30 P.M.","end_time3":"","location3":"St Ann's Cemetery","address3":"","city3":"East Helena","state3":"MT","zipcode3":"","event_title4":"","event_date4":"","start_time4":"","end_time4":"","location4":"","address4":"","city4":"","state4":"","zipcode4":"","event_title5":"","event_date5":"","start_time5":"","end_time5":"","location5":"","address5":"","city5":"","state5":"","zipcode5":"","first_name":"Charles","middle_name":"","last_name":"Ceartin","date_born":"06\/14\/1928","date_died":"12\/28\/2012","age":"84","city":"Helena","state":"MT","full_obituary_text":"<p>Charles \u201cCharlie\u201d Ceartin passed away from a brief illness on December 28, 2012 at the age of 84.\u00a0 Charlie was born March 14, 1928 in Dooley, MT to Jack and Stelsie Ceartin.\u00a0 He was the fourth of ten children who grew up farming near Plentywood Montana.<\/p>\n<p>After moving to Western Montana, Charlie married Charlotte Bailey on August 14<sup>th<\/sup>, 1950.\u00a0 Charlie and Charlotte had two children, daughter Carolyn and son Mike.\u00a0 Charlie worked for the Anaconda Mining Company in East Helena, MT before retiring and moving to Lincoln, MT, where he spent the rest of his life.\u00a0 Charlie could always be found outside working on projects and his treasures.\u00a0 During the winter months when Charlie was younger he spent countless hours riding the mountains around Lincoln on his snowmobile with many family and friends.\u00a0 Charlie never met a stranger. Any one he met immediately became a friend.<\/p>\n<p>Charlie was preceded in death by his both his parents, his father and mother in-law, Leonard and Toots Bailey, brothers, Bernard and Clarence, and sisters Lottie Blank and Mayme Anderson, and a brother who died in infancy.\u00a0 Charlie is survived by his wife Charlotte; daughter, Carolyn Murgel; son, Mike Ceartin; brother, Roger; sisters, Eileen (Dick) Carter, Thelma (Russell) Williams, and Ruth Osajda.\u00a0 He is also survived by grandchildren, Ryan (Julie) Murgel, Shaun (Brandy Gallups) Murgel, Megan Murgel, Jake (Andrea) Ceartin, Cody (Gina) Ceartin and\u00a0 great grand children;\u00a0 Emily, Jordan, Rainier Murgel, Franchi, Zoie, Kyler and Morgan (Sweet Pea) Ceartin as well as several\u00a0 nieces and nephews.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>A celebration of Charlie&#8217;s life will be Monday December 31 at 11:00 at Anderson Stevenson and Wilke Funeral Home, 3750 N Montana Ave in Helena. A reception will be held in the social center of the funeral home immediately following the service. Interment will be at St. Ann\u2019s Cemetery in East Helena.
