She lived her life with an open heart and open hands, giving freely of herself to those in need and reflecting the grace she found in her faith. \u00a0Her legacy is one of quiet strength, grounded in the belief that we are called by God to serve others.<\/p>\n<p>Donna shared a remarkable life of 63 years with her devoted husband, James Eugene Nelson. Together, they built a life in Helena defined by devotion and the many beautiful things Donna created with her hands. Whether she was sewing a gift, crafting, or tending to her flower garden, she found joy in nurturing life and beauty.<\/p>\n<p>She is survived by her beloved husband, James, and their five daughters and sons-in-law: Karen (Mike) Ryan, Kristine (Jim) Larson, Holly (Joe) Miller, Becky (Mark) Yurian, and Jill (Cory) Gregerson.<\/p>\n<p>Donna had special love for each of her grandchildren: Cole, Megan, Danny, Ashley, Rachael, Cody, Kayla, Brooke, Madi, and Mason, as well as her many cherished great-grandchildren.<\/p>\n<p>She was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd and Thelma Zeigler, and her siblings: Verle, Marjorie, Marion, Sherman, Harley, Alice, Gary, Avis, and Arleda.<\/p>\n<p><em>&#8220;Well done, good and faithful servant.&#8221; \u2014 Matthew 25:23<\/em><\/p>\n","photo":"https:\/\/helenafuneralhome.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/Donna-Nelson-4-Cover-Cropped.jpg","youtube_video_url":"","service_status":"public","event_title1":"Family Receiving Friends","event_date1":"2026-03-20","start_time1":"4:00 p.m.","end_time1":"7:00 p.m.","location1":"Anderson Stevenson Wilke Funeral Home","address1":"3750 N.
