As a dad, he taught them the value of hard work and how to “scrape two dimes together” when life required grit and determination. He led by example — sometimes stubbornly, often humorously, and always with love. He was known to offer advice whether it was requested or not, but beneath that familiar trait was a man who deeply cared and wanted those around him to do well.

He found his greatest peace outdoors — fishing at sunrise, hunting in the stillness of fall mornings, or settling in to watch a good western. Greg shared his love of the outdoors generously. Over the years, he made a lasting impression on many young men, passing down hunting and fishing stories, practical skills, and a different kind of example to the nephews who looked up to him. Time spent with Greg in a boat, a hunting road, or around a campfire was time well spent.

In business, Greg’s heart often outweighed his bottom line. He kept his business alive on credit at times to make sure his employees were paid. He never felt right charging customers too much — truth be told, maybe he charged too little. Greg cared far more about people than he ever did about money.

Greg was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Jeannie Sund; his parents and step-parents, Pete, Dolores, Patricia, and Rich; and his wife’s parents, Rose and Doug.

After the loss of Jeannie, Greg was fortunate to find love again. Dawna Laroque and her family welcomed him wholeheartedly, giving him a beautiful and love-filled final sixteen years. Dawna’s parents, Joan and Garland Crowell, became like second parents to Greg, and alongside Dawna’s sister Debbie and her husband Vince, they shared countless hours fishing, hunting, camping, and simply enjoying life together. Joan recently passed, and it brings comfort to imagine she was simply preparing the place for Greg’s arrival. Dawna and her family gave him friendship, companionship, laughter, and the joy of additional grandchildren who enriched his life deeply.

Greg leaves behind his children, Chris (wife Megan) and Katie, Dawna’s children Joshua (wife Geordie) and Tianna; his sisters Ann, Stephanie, and Karen; his brother Doug; his lifelong friends and fishing and hunting buddies Larry and Ken; his very good friends Rick and Nancy; and finally employees that helped him through the end get things done Bob and Al. He had many cherished family members, friends, customers and employees.

He also leaves behind a large and cherished group of grandchildren: Joy, Ava, Emery, Liam, Natalie, Landon, Kiara, Caysen, Tavyn, Jaeshon, Aiden, Ryann, Blake, Trysten, Abel, Asher,

Connor, and Araeya. Each of them carries forward a piece of his spirit — his resilience, his love of the outdoors, and perhaps even his tendency to offer a little advice.

Greg’s life was not flashy, but it was full. Full of early mornings, campfires, westerns, hard lessons, second chances, quiet generosity, and enduring love. He leaves behind stories that will be told for generations — most likely starting with, “Let me tell you about Greg…”

He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

"event_title1":"","event_date1":"","start_time1":"","end_time1":"","location1":"","address1":"","city1":"","state1":"","zipcode1":"","event_title2":"","event_date2":"","start_time2":"","end_time2":"","location2":"","address2":"","city2":"","state2":"","zipcode2":"","event_title3":"","event_date3":"","start_time3":"","end_time3":"","location3":"","address3":"","city3":"","state3":"","zipcode3":"","event_title4":"","event_date4":"","start_time4":"","end_time4":"","location4":"","address4":"","city4":"","state4":"","zipcode4":"","event_title5":"","event_date5":"","start_time5":"","end_time5":"","location5":"","address5":"","city5":"","state5":"","zipcode5":"","event_title6":"
","start_time6":"","end_time6":"","location6":"","address6":"","city6":"","state6":"","zipcode6":"","event_title7":"","event_date7":"","start_time7":"","end_time7":"","location7":"","address7":"","city7":"","state7":"","zipcode7":"","event_title8":"","event_date8":"","start_time8":"","end_time8":"","location8":"","address8":"","city8":"","state8":"","zipcode8":"
["GET
