She spent her early career as one of the first ‘car hops’ at the RB Drive Inn in Helena. She then worked for various other restaurants, Insurance companies, Mountain Bell, and the Masonic Home of Helena.

In her retired years, Eva spent her days caring for her mother and two brothers, Sam and Buz, on Sam’s cattle ranch here in Helena where she cooked, cleaned, and helped with the general household chores. Much of her cooking and baking, known as kitchen sweepings, could have left many chefs behind. Eva also helped raise her grandchildren and her great granddaughter, Eve, who meant everything to Eva. She loved to sew, crochet, read, watch western shows, camp, cook, and bake. One year she sewed all of the shirts for one of the drill teams, here in Helena, of gold satin material. Eva loved all of her family and friends and had many friends all over the States that she kept in touch with.

Cremation has taken place. Family and friends are welcome to attend a Memorial that will take place on December 21, 2012 at 4:00 p.m. at the family home, 2502 Willy’s Rd., Helena, MT 59602.

Memorials are suggested to an account set up in Eva’s great granddaughter‘s name, Eve Christensen, at the Valley Bank of Helena.
