On September 8, 2011, our son Gabriel Parker Hall passed away peacefully in Toronto, Ontario. Gabe was born on April 29, 2011 in Richmond Hill, Ontario to Amanda and Nathan Hall and his big sister Isabella.<\/p>\n

Soon after Gabriel was born, a heart murmur was discovered in his otherwise healthy looking body. After some initial tests, he was allowed to go home for three weeks. While at home, he enjoyed watching his big sister, going for walks to the park with his two dogs and snuggling with his mom and dad.<\/p>\n

On a return trip to Sick Kids Hospital in Toronto, his cardiologist discovered that his heart was sicker than they had initially thought. He spent the next three months of his life in the ICU at Sick Kids with either his mother or father by his side. At the hospital, he enjoyed being held, his mobile and kisses from his family. Gabe fought through two open-heart surgeries and several infections before his body finally succumbed to his sick heart.<\/p>\n

Throughout his hospital journey, numerous nurses and doctors commented on his strength and perseverance. He had the support and admiration of many. Gabriel\u2019s life was not easy but he was loved. His strength was an inspiration and he will be greatly missed.<\/p>\n
