Shultz Ann was special to so many and will be deeply missed by all who were so fortunate to have known her. She treated everyone with love and kindness and was the true definition of a Southern Belle. She was proud of her Southern Heritage and her deep family roots that she always cherished. Her true love was her grand children who she thoroughly enjoyed and loved deeply.

Shultz Ann was born January 5, 1928 in Joplin Missouri the fourth of six children. After High School she moved to Atlanta with her oldest sister Kay and met and married the love of her life Tom on March 5, 1951. Tom and Shultz had a marriage that lasted 59 years together and will continue on through eternity. Shultz enjoyed being with her husband Tom on the golf course where he worked as a ranger after he retired. She and Tom spent numerous hours on the course and were well known to anyone who played at Bill Roberts. She enjoyed cooking and cleaning and always took pride in having a tidy home. She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints where she became involved in genealogy work and spent numerous hours volunteering at the Genealogy Library. Shultz’s greatest joy, however, were her grandchildren. Even though they may have lived great distances away, she tried to attend as many activities as possible. Whether it was soccer, basketball, ballet recitals or barrel racing, grandma loved being with and watching her family.

Shultz is survived by her husband Tom, two daughters Taylor Ann Lee (Tommy Dan) and Shannon Mergenthaler (Mike). Six grandchildren, Thomas Hoff, Brietta Tipton, Travis Ridley, Cole Mergenthaler, Shelby Cardall and John Mergenthaler. Four great grandchildren, Nicholas, Cameron, Jessica and Hailey. And a great, great grandchild Sebastian. She is also survived by her three sisters Kay, Jean and Billie.

The family wishes to thank all those who have made the last couple of years special for Grandma, especially those at Hunters Pointe and most recently at Aspen Gardens. You are true friends and Shultz Ann will miss you all.

Per her wishes there will be no funeral services. However, there will be a Graveside Service at 11am on Tuesday, November 16 at the Montana State Veterans Cemetery. Arrangements are under the care of Retz Funeral Home.
