She graduated from the University of Idaho in 1964 and went on to teach High School Spanish and English in Eureka, Anaconda, and Seeley Lake.<\/p>\n<p>She married James R. \u2018Jim\u2019 Carpita on February 17, 1990 in Anaconda, MT.<\/p>\n<p>Anne enjoyed fishing, sewing, and spending time with her grandkids. She loved nature and animals and loved to travel.<\/p>\n<p>Anne is preceded in death by her parents, Philo and Marie (Johnson) Smith. She is survived by her husband James R. \u2018Jim\u2019 Carpita; children, Robert David Glover of Fort Drum, NY and Chris Eichert of St. Ignatius, MT; a brother, Philo Smith of Corona, CA; and 15 grandchildren.<\/p>\n<p>A Memorial Service is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 2, 2010 at Retz Funeral Home Chapel.
