I recall him as a little girl at my grandparents, Stella and CLyde Bates him playing checker with my siblings and I. We were fortunate to see him when he came to our home in Sacramento, Calif., in the 1990’s. Uncle Tony and my husband, Pete, had a fabulous time talking about his car the ‘rabbit’ and the engine. They sat and talked about WW2 as Pete’s dad was also in that war. I am lucky to have been his niece. We will miss him greatly. I feel better knowing he is in heaven with Stella, Joephine and Clyde. Rest in Peace sweet Uncle Tony.

Forever love, Lynne and Pete

He could build anything and fix anything. He was adventurous. I am glad I got to see him on one of the last visits he made to see his sister, Stella, when I was also visiting her. I am proud to have had him for my Uncle.
