Shelley, Frank, Margret and Family – I am sorry for your loss. I remember Jack well as he was my first employer after I got out of high school. He was a great boss, mentor and friend. In those days, all letters were done by typewriter. We shared the same office and I had just typed about 20 letters for him. I was signing his name and we were talking about hot fudge brownie delights at the Dairy Queen. The next thing I knew I was retyping five letters because I had signed them Jack P. Brownie rather than Jack P. Miller. Another incident was hiding his cigarettes in boxes of completed Motor Fuel Tax Forms so he could not find them. All these years later, I still laugh when I think my days at the Motor Fuel Tax Division.

I am one of Jack’s grandsons. I’m not sure quite what i want to say just yet. I just felt drawn to say something. I am praying on behalf of Jack’s closest family members and loved ones. I ask that the family members show their respect to Jack by showing love, respect, and compassion to one another.
