While I was married to Bill (Schmidt), Kirby lived with us on and off. I enjoyed his being around as he did the cooking, which was always better than mine. He was a good friend and will be greatly missed.

I was saddened to read of Kirby’s death and although I have been away from Helena for many years, the names of those I’ve known come back to my heart with good memories. Good-Bye Kirby. Kirby was a fine man. He had a great kind spirit under that gruff exterior. I’m Patty Dixon’s sister. During their time together I spent a lot of time with Kirby. It was too soon to go!
