Our heartfelt sympathy to all Uncle Edward’s family, especially his brothers and sisters, his children and grandchildren. Uncle Edward’s visits were always an adventure that we could reminisce forever! He lived his life with a passion and spirit most men dreamed about. He was a handsome gentlman to the ladies and the envy of any man, but all the while greatly admired for his charm and intellect. He was a well informed conversationalist – most cetainly making us ponder where we came from and hopefully where we might be headed. Uncle Edward had a wise faith in God and devoted love of his family, especially his Mother and Father’s heritage. He was a true soldier and patriot. I asked him why he flew 49 missions bombing over Berlin during WWII without complaining because later the air force only allowed 26 missions to be flown. Uncle’s answer was “and be called a coward”! He must have had great faith and “nerves of steel”. Our Uncle’s love and life full of adventure will be greatly missed.
