Ray worked with my dad at Phillips dairy. We spent time with your family in the summer. Your mom was such a sweet lady.. Hohn and Gilreath go back a long time. Sorry got your loss.

I always liked Dodie. Her mom, Nellie, and my mom, Emma, were in the High-Lows Club, a group of friends who celebrated birthdays and holidays throughout the year….including Ida Lundberg, Maudie McCalley, Mrs. Staniger, Mrs. Norling, and several others…a good group of ladies who hosted bridal and baby showers for the daughters, also. We got to meet the daughters and felt that we all knew each other, through the stories told by our mothers. Those truly were the good old days. With sympathy to the family,

Cheryl, Susie, and Kathy,
My heart is with you and your families; I am so deeply saddened to hear of your mothers passing. Growing up next door to the Barker girls, my brother and I would not have become the same people without your mother’s love and guidance. We were so fortunate to have had her in our lives, may you find comfort; in always remembering the many cherished times you shared with her. I am sorry I cannot be with you to share in her service; please know you are all in my thoughts and prayers. May her memory always bring you peace.

So sad to hear of Dodie’s passing. She was one of a kind for sure. She was the backbone of the Business Office. Always very helpful when I called with a question. She is with Ray dancing in heaven. Prayers for her family.

I remember so many times going to the Hohn house with Cheryl and Dodie was always so welcoming. I remember her as our Blue Bird leader and her coming to Kessler School for special celebrations.

Dodie and I met while attending water aerobics in 1996 (I was carrying my twins) and hit it off right away! She was kind, funny and had that beautiful smile. It was funny that I met her AND Sue at different times and was friends with each of them without knowing it for quite a while. I will miss lunches with her, Sue and my Mom. She was such a lovely person, inside and out. My prayers, thoughts and love go out to Sue, Dodie’s other family and all who mourn her loss.
