It is raining in my soul, so the tears are flowing as I remember Kathy. Thank you, Lane, for the very appropriate and well said verse. I fondly remember the shock I felt when Kathy told me she was retiring. She seemed so young to do so. But then she explained her dream was to be able to spend all her time with her grandchildren. How fortuitous considering Covid came into our worlds just a few months later. As a grandmother it had to be a perfect parlay into those retirement plans to be available night and day for all her grandchildren. It must have been her heaven on earth. And her actions have left all of us with an important lesson: Live your dreams, don’t just dream them. For before you know it, God’s plan for you may change and the time for your dream to come true may be lost. I thank God that the time, although shorter than she would have liked, was given to her to live her dream. What a blessing for all her grandchildren to have been given a chance to know her. I am sure she had many lessons to teach them to all her grandchildren and part of her will always live on in them. What a gift to each one. I remember well they day I met Kathy. From the beginning of our friendship, she was the kindest soul of all and her eyes always sparkled. There was a softness to her, a calming influence. I am truly sorry I did not get to spend more time with her. My loss. And the loss of the world. Rest my dear and watch over those you love as you have always.

Mike and family. I was heartbroken to read about Kathy’s passing. I was not aware that Kathy had been ill. I’m so very sorry. Kathy was such an amazing lady. I was so lucky to have met her when our kids attended preschool together and watched them grow through the years. We always had that “Butte” connection. Again, I am so sorry for your loss. I learned of Kathy’s passing this morning (2/5/26). I am sorry to have missed her service. Thinking of all of you and sending prayers as you navigate the difficult days ahead. I will always treasure our Irish connection and her gentle kindness. Kathy was a special woman, mentor and friend to many. I count myself lucky to have known her.

I’m so sad to read of Kathy’s passing. I enjoyed working with her over the years. She was instrumental in helping us set up a retirement plan for our small business. She was so smart – but also always kind, patient and friendly outside of work. RiP sweet lady.

I heard from my Butte family that Kathy had recently passed away. My heart aches for Mike and the entire family. I remember Kathy and Mike fondly having attended South Central and Butte Central together. Kathy was such a great and fun person during our school years, and it comes as no surprise that her adult life was much the same. Her caring, fun, and thoughtful legacy will live on in each of you. I was privileged to work with Kathy when I practiced at AZ. I always loved seeing her at the various retreats. When I left AZ to work for a client, Kathy was my go to for their profit sharing plan. I loved it when she came to Billings so we could visit in person. Over the years we worked together, we may have spent more time talking about our lives, kids, grandkids, than business. She became a good friend during this time. I was so sorry when she retired, but I know she was ready to spend more time with her family. I feel so blessed I knew Kathy and I know I will see her in the Next Place. She was a good one! One of the best, actually.
