Jamie, Maddie, I am so lost for words, but have thought about you all during this time. My life is very similar to yours but it occurred to me when I was 40 and Anna was11. I send you comfort, hugs, prayers, stay close to mom and dad. I love you so much and I really hope I get to see you and your mom sometime next week. Hold on tight. I am here whenever. My neighbor gave me a song by the Beatles that whenever I feel lost I sing because it’s yours and Tony’s life. There are places I remember in my life …..the name of song I don’t remember but I sing it. It’s beautiful. I love you girl

Tony Bologna! Your railroad brother’s and sisters will miss you big guy. I will remember the good and bad railroad days together with you. I in particular will remember the couple of fun times at Haps, which really wasn’t your M.O. but it was necessary for the rough patch of life you were going through at the time. We are thankful for your service to this country and your dedication to your two families, your immediate family and your railroad family. As uncle Billy Bossler would say ” Thanks for coming in”

I am so sorry for your loss. I only met Tony once and that was the day of your wedding. What a fun and handsome fella he was. I know you two were made for each other.

We were neighbors of Gary and Mary McLees. When my husband and I decided to landscape and put in a backyard, Gary helped with a Bobcat leveling the ground. In the process, many rocks were unearthed so we employed the young Tony to pick rocks. He was paid handsomely and was a good worker. The following day, Tony came across the alley and with a shout of disbelief, said “They had babies!” We could not convince him to pick more rocks the following day! What a cute young lad and watched him grow into manhood. Always pleasant – a twinkle in his eye – and was always genuine in visiting us. Heartfelt condolences to the family. Sandy Bradford

To Jamie, Maddie, and Madison, Harry and I can’t believe Tony is gone physically. We both are trying hard to wrap our minds around his passing. Sorry doesn’t feel right for what we’re feeling. We have been holding you all in prayer, and we will continue. Know this, Tony is with you. He will visit often. And our hope is that brings some comfort through the worst pain you’ve felt. We’ll miss hearing his loud laugh, and deep voice. We’re here if y’all need anything. Just one door knock or text away.

Father God, please rally around Jamie, Maddie, and Madison. They’re going through such a horrific loss. Ease their pain at night so they can find comfort and rest. Awaken their hearts with love, and help them make hard decisions no one should have to make, as they transition from life with Tony, to life without Tony. Lord, I ask that you help Tony’s spirit… he’ll be busy visiting loved ones who are hurting. Help Tony come up with funny ways to bring signs of his visit, so he can continue to bring laughter to his loved ones. In Jesus name we pray, amen.

Jamie, It’s so hard to find the right words through my tears. Norm and I love you both and we are devastated about Tony passing. He was such a pleasure to have in our lives. It is not for us to question our Lord’s timing or reason for taking our loved ones. We must except it. As sad as we are, time will make our pain easier, the sun will rise every morning and the full moon will shine bright each time as he looks down on us. Hugs!

If only warm thoughts and gentle words could be sewn together,
I would gather all I could find, and create a quilt of comfort,
that would keep you from the sorrows cold!
