I did not know him very well, but he was kind and welcoming to me and my wife at his son’s wedding. I think very often of that evening when he stayed up late with us rowdy “kids”, playing games and smiling fondly through it all. I know he will be dearly missed, and I am happy that I got to meet the source of that steady comforting kindness that all sorts of people get to feel when they hang out with Nick.

I was first introduced to John when I worked with Kim years ago at MHESAC. I then got the privilege of reconnecting with him when he had his Schwan’s route and would stop by our office.
