Victor Karlos Larson, age 88, of Townsend, MT passed away on April 11, 2026 in Helena, MT.
He was born on April 4, 1938 in Big Timber, MT to his parents Carl and Opal Larson nee Cubbison. Victor grew up in the Gallatin area and attended Gallatin High School in Bozeman, MT. After completing high school, Victor furthered his studies by attending college in Minnesota. After completing college courses, Victor started working for the United States Postal Service. He obtained the rank of Postmaster and worked at various locations as a Postmaster throughout Montana and Washington. After 35 years in the United States Postal Service, Victor retired. Before retiring, Victor met his wife, Wava Larson. They were married on November 15, 1986. They spent the last 39 years together before Victor’s passing.
As a true Montanan Victor, enjoyed his winters here and made the best of them. He enjoyed winter sports such as skiing and snowmobiling. Recently in his retirement, Victor enjoyed being outside and working on his yard. He was also very proud of his home in Townsend. Victor enjoyed the community and the lifelong friends that he made while living in Townsend. Victor was a part of the local Elks Club as well. He also was a member of the United Commerical Traveler’s Club (UCT).
Victor is preceeded in death by his parents Carl and Opal Larson.
He is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Wava Larson; daughters Jann Gallier of Bozeman, MT, Marcy Larson of Townsend, MT, Vicki Walton of Benton City, WA, Rhonda Larson of Killingworth, CT; stepdaughter Gayle Thom of Helena, MT; a stepson Dan Stevens of Moore, MT; five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
